Meal Plans

Fall 2007 Meal Plan

New meal plan options have been designed for students living on campus. Meal options for faculty, staff, commuters and graduate students include these new plans which are valid for the whole semester. There's also a community plan as well as a declining balance account (the cash account) which stay open year-round. These plans allow for access to all dining units and for those with points, to most retail operations. Husky Bucks may also be purchased. Read on to learn more.

Rightsizing Your Meal Plan

Please choose the meal plan which you believe most closely reflects your eating habits and how many meals you will eat during the semester. Please buy conservatively. If you run out of meals toward the end of the semester, you may purchase additional meals through our community plan. If you have purchased a plan that doesn't work for you, you have until Friday, September 14th to change your meal plan for the FALL 2007 semester. Call 486-3128 for more information.

Students living off campus or in the university apartment complexes can purchase a community plan, which is a block of any twenty five meals, for $202.00. These meals roll-over from semester to semester and are refundable upon request when the student leaves the university.

A separate non-resident points account can be purchased by all students. These points can be used at all dining facilities and at most retail operations. These points roll-over from semester to semester and can also be refunded upon request when the student leaves the university.

A student who is on the resident meal plan can set up a bag meal account if they have a class or work conflict. This can be accomplished by proving validation and completing a request form identifying bag meal dates. These forms are available in the Dining Services office.

Community Meal Plan

The Community Plan is specifically designed for staff, faculty or visiting members of the UConn community. There is no limit to the amount of meals you can use each day and you may bring a guest(s) by simply debiting a meal(s). This plan can be used in all dining units and also at all Grab & Go’s to purchase a value meal only. If you are a full time, permanent employee you may pay for this plan by using payroll deduction.
